Dorian

Ocracoke United Methodist Church is located in the village of Ocracoke located in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Our current church building has been in its current location since 1943 when the two methodist congregations on the island merged together to create the congregation we are now today.

In 2019, we suffered major hurricane damage from Hurricane Dorian like many other structures on Ocracoke Island. Since that time, we have been tirelessly working to rebuild our church and community alike.

Unfortunately, we are still working hard to get our facilities back up and running. If you would like to make a contribution to the renovations of our building and property, please visit the donate page or contact us to find out how you can help!

We're in!

We received our Certificate of Occupancy and are able to worship inside! We now turn our attention to the back rooms of the church, refurnishing, landscaping, and an enormous amount of small tasks and items needing to be purchased. We're not back to 100% but we're getting closer everyday!
